About the Foundation

In 1995, George White of George White Chevrolet in Ames led a group of dealers to establish the Iowa Automobile Dealers (IAD) Foundation for Education. White encouraged dealers to to give back to the industry and their communities. His vision for the foundation became reality, and in 1998 the IAD Foundation awarded its first scholarships.

Our Vision

The IAD Foundation for Education promotes career opportunities in the motor vehicle sales and service industry in Iowa.

Our Mission

We invest in the future of the motor vehicle sales and service industry by awarding scholarships to students pursuing careers in the automotive industry. We also develop programs and incentives with high schools, colleges, educational agencies, and the public to encourage the pursuit of automotive careers.
