Lujack’s Auto Plaza (Davenport), owned by Gurley Leep Automotive, plans to invest $8 million to build its new 34,000 square-foot Honda facility as part of its main campus. The new facility will house 20 service bays, a high-speed car wash, and amenities that will allow the dealership to meet the requirements of the Honda Environmental Leadership program, including LED lighting, recyclable building materials, and energy-efficient features. In addition, $2 million will be invested in renovations at the site of the previous Honda facility; the updated facility will hold Lujack’s Kia and Mazda franchises upon the construction’s completion. Construction is expected to begin in August and to be completed in the summer of 2019.
