Knoepfler Chevrolet (Sioux City) recently donated its time and services to the refurbishment of a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette owned by the Sioux City Police Department. The vehicle has been in the police department’s custody since the early ’90s after a drug investigation and has since been used as a showcase vehicle for the department’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program for local youth. The vehicle was rundown and needed work, but instead of giving up on it, officers fought to save it and received several donations from the community to pursue the refurbishment. The vehicle received extensive work from Knoepfler Chevrolet—including new interior carpet, racing seats, a steering wheel, a center console, e-brake leather, tint, and an interior and exterior paint job.
