About IADA’s Legislative Program

Our mission is to protect and preserve the value of a motor vehicle franchise. We accomplish this by serving as a unified voice for Iowa’s new car and truck dealers at the Iowa statehouse. IADA’s main legislative focus is to educate legislators on issues important to your business, to promote legislation that benefits dealerships, and to oppose legislation that would hurt the automotive-retail industry.

Every legislative session presents a number of unforeseen proposals that affect dealers’ interests, ranging from taxes to dealer license requirements. IADA’s lobbying team will be there to protect the value of your franchise.
